At Kidzia, your privacy and the privacy of your child's data is our top priority. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when using the Kidzia app.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data for the following purposes:

AI Storybook Photo Processing

When a parent starts the storybook feature, the photograph and the minimum story settings are sent through a protected server workflow toGoogle Cloud Vertex AI for story planning and illustrations. Optional Arabic narration is generated withGoogle Cloud Text-to-Speech. The photograph is sent directly as a visual reference; we do not first turn it into a text description. The default configuration uses Google Cloud's global endpoint, so processing may occur in a supported location outside your country.

The original photograph is not retained after the request. Signed links to generated illustrations and audio are valid for two hours; the system may use a temporary download-token link until scheduled cleanup removes the assets. We do not create a public sharing link or publish a book automatically. Infrastructure providers may keep limited operational or abuse-prevention logs under their contracts and policies; Kidzia does not use the photograph to train its own models.

This feature is for a parent or authorized adult only. Do not upload another person's photograph without permission. You may cancel a request or contact us to request deletion of any remaining record.

Data Storage

We use Google Firebase services to store your data securely. All data is encrypted and protected with the highest security standards. We retain your data as long as your account is active or as required by applicable law.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We use service providers, including Firebase, Google Cloud Vertex AI, and Text-to-Speech when the storybook feature is used, to process data on our behalf with access and retention controls, and Meta to measure our ad campaigns (see "Advertising and Campaign Measurement"). We may also share aggregated, non-personal information for statistical or analytical purposes.

Children's Privacy

We especially protect children's privacy. Children may not start story generation themselves; a parent must upload the image and give consent. The parent is responsible for having the right to use the photograph. We comply with applicable children's privacy requirements.

Advertising and Campaign Measurement

The Kidzia app does not show any ads, to subscribers or non-subscribers.

We promote the app with ads on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). To measure these campaigns we use the Meta App Events SDK in the app and the Meta Conversions API from our servers. We send Meta specific events: app install and open, sign-up and login, adding a child, opening the subscription screen and starting checkout, and paid subscriptions with their value and currency. To match these events to an ad we send your in-app account ID, email address, phone number (if any) and country in hashed form, and the SDK collects technical device information such as device type and operating system.

We do not send Meta any data about your child or about what you record in the app. We do not request ad-tracking permission on iOS, so the app cannot access the advertising identifier (IDFA). On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. Meta processes this data under its own data policy.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to measure feature usage, detect crashes and improve app performance.

We also use Microsoft Clarity to understand how screens are used (such as taps and navigation) and improve usability. These recordings may include what is shown on screen during use and are linked to your in-app account ID. We do not use this data for advertising and do not sell it; Microsoft processes it under its own privacy policy.

Your Rights

Account and Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. We are committed to deleting your data in accordance with applicable laws.

How to Request Deletion

Identity verification: Send an email from the same email registered in the app with your full name
Deletion request: Write "I request deletion of my account and all my data from the Kidzia app" in the subject line
Confirmation: We will send you a confirmation within 24-48 hours
Final deletion: Your account and all data will be permanently deleted within 7 days of request confirmation

Data That Will Be Deleted

Account information: Parent's name, email, date of birth
Children's data: Names, dates of birth, gender, weight
Usage data: Activities, articles read, reminders, growth milestones
Analytical data: Usage statistics, content preferences, activity logs
Storybooks: Story records, generated images, narration audio, and temporary links

Auto-Renewable Subscriptions

Kidzia offers auto-renewable subscription plans. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store or Google Play Store after purchase.
